Getting death threats in Dawood Ibrahim’s name: Sameer Wankhede

Former Bombay Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) director Sameer Wankhede has claimed that his wife and he have been the target of death threats in the name of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in recent days.

Wankhede claimed that he would write to the Commissioner of the Mumbai Police Department to ask for special security for his protection and informed the Mumbai Police about the threats he was receiving from the fake Twitter account.

He said that for the past four days, he and his wife Kranti Redkar have been the target of crude and murderous threats on social media.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has indicted a former NCB chief for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 25 crore from Bollywood star Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, in return for not implicating his son in drugs. travel case

Earlier, the NCB had alleged that Sameer Wankhede had violated the guidelines of conduct by revealing the discussions he had with actor Shah Rukh Khan about Aryan Khan's arrest in the road drug case.

According to NCB officials, Wankhede did not provide the phone on which he had spoken to Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan. Besides, they alleged that Sameer Wankhede tried to intimidate a senior NCB official after taking over the case.

The FIR was lodged against Wankhede and four other people by Gyaneshwar Singh, supervisor of the Special Investigation Team and the then deputy director of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Wankhede filed an application in the Bombay High Court to challenge the CBI proceedings against him and was granted protection from arrest by the Bombay High Court till his next hearing on June 8.
